This is a dreamscape. A composition compiled from various experiences.
My intent here was to frame a path of natural light, illuminating the surf, through the symmetrical heart of the image. Also framed between the exposed rock is Sarah, my youngest daughter, here age 11.
The wild ocean and the jagged rock are her contrast ... the yin. Her light and her belief are in balance with the power of the elements ... the yang. It’s her heart of light that shines through for me.
Despite the power struggles and politics of the world, I’ll never doubt her faith in, or her love for me. The same holds true for Charlotte, my oldest daughter. No matter what happens in our lives, that can never be taken away from us. Mark Heine
