Jasmine Tea Myself
9" X 12" oil on panel
Original art is sold
My daughter Charlotte’s hands are very expressive. Here, she drinks jasmine tea herself through a straw in a Chinese restaurant. Cerebral palsy makes the task of drinking directly from the cup a challenge beyond her abilities. Her muscles constantly fight each other, and balancing control is very tricky. For fine-motor control, she must relax her muscles. As a consequence, her touch is very soft and gentle. Mark Heine
